Each weathercock in Curonian Spit (aka Minor Lithuania in XIX c.) used to have some special ID meaning, and every house had a very custom one.
These are modern and standardized for whole towns (Juodkrantė, Preila, Pervalka and Nida), though original ones held whole location information about the owner, like "I live near the church, and there are two fishermen houses, and the shoemaker's house" or "I live by the forest, where my neighbor to the left is the smith, and one to the right is the merchant".
